There are many rising cases of insecurity including rape, abduction and callous murder. The most affected parties are the little children between the ages of 5-13. This is just terrible.
It is of utmost importance that parents, guardians and siblings protect these vulnerable populations (girls aged 5-13). You must be there to accompany them to the shops or rivers to draw water. Do not send them on their own.
Many rapists take advantage of the fact that these vulnerable populations are sent on their own to fetch various items such as milk for the morning tea or water to prepare food. Please, stop sending them all alone.
“Company creates deterrence. If you want to feel safe, walk as two or three people, may be more”.Alfred Yambo.
Try to walk together with your younger vulnerable girls so that you can protect them from rapists. Rapists would never attack if at all they see you there. They will be totally afraid. On our part as the leaders, we will keep drumming support for more law enforcers to be stationed along footpaths, dark alleys, gardens, abandoned buildings, places of isolation and more. We want Ndhiwa to be safe and the whole country at large.
Together, we can keep our girls safe.
Have a safe day today.
